Offer your images exceptional rendering quality
Ideal for computing final images, P3D Ray-it intervenes at the final step of the industrial creation, offering the possibility of creating images of very high quality by virtue of its ray tracing engine.
P3D Ray-it manages the inter-reflections and transparency of materials while conserving the rendering quality of P3D textures for increased photorealism.

Datasheet
P3D Ray-it is the ideal ray-tracing software for elevating the quality of your P3D renderings.
P3D Ray-it is a solution for viewing P3D databases, based on the technique of ray-tracing. It loads the exported .kdr files into the Matter module of Patchwork3D.
P3D Ray-it is based on the OpenRtRt ray-tracing technology. This CPU technology exploits multi-threading and grid computing to accelerate the rendering process.
The Ray-it shaders are designed to preserve the aspect of the materials produced in P3D. Ray tracing is mainly used for improving the optical behavior of materials, such as reflections and transparencies.
Select the ray-traced rendering mode of your choice
P3D Ray-it offers a rendering mode that runs the ray tracing engine and restitutes Patchwork3D rendering quality.
The P3D-compliant rendering mode obliges P3D Ray-it to compute images in accordance with those obtained in Patchwork3D.
The images are computed using the ray tracing engine, but no additional rays are traced in the scene to compute the inter-reflections. The rendering of the materials is identical to that of the materials processed in Patchwork3D.
P3D Ray-it also offers a rendering mode that enriches the processing of your models by taking into account the reflective properties of your materials and the placing of the different elements in the scene.
The Ray-traced rendering mode allows P3D Ray-it to trace new rays in the scene so as to improve the rendering of the materials with realistic reflections and transparencies.
There is no limit to the depth of the ray tracing for computing transparencies, since this would substantially affect the rendering quality without providing an appreciable gain in performance.
The opposite is true for reflections: inter-reflections can generate an exponential explosion in the number of rays traced in the scene without providing any appreciable improvement in quality.
P3D Ray-it offers you the possibility of defining the number of inter-reflections computed as a function of their value in the final image.
Configure the P3D Ray-it renderings according to your objectives
Get the maximum benefit from P3D Ray-it by defining the rendering performance and resolution.
The preferences menu of P3D Ray-it gives you access to many parameters. They may be useful for optimizing the computing time as a function of the anticipated level of detail for the rendering of the final images.
You can select the number of threads (computing units) used by the rendering engine, modify the rendering quality by activating the antialiasing option, indicate the image resolution calculated by P3D Ray-it, etc.
