Built-in Patchwork3D raytracing rendering engine
Patchwork3D now includes a built-in raytrace rendering engine accentuating the rendered image quality.
This rendering technique simulates reflection and refraction phenomena. It adds all details from inter-reflections in the 3D scene to the Patchwork3D render. Photorealism in computed images is increased and global render quality is strikingly enhanced.
Computed inter-reflections are superimposed with Patchwork3D render without affecting the rendered quality of materials.
There is a total consistency between the real-time and the raytraced renderings, thus preserving the preparation previously performed on the real-time scene.
No specific preprocessing is necessary to benefit from the raytraced rendering quality.
A great ease of use
Raytracing computations are started directly from the toolbar in Patchwork3D interface.
Simply clicking on the dedicated icon starts the raytracing engine instantly and generates an image with inter-reflections in seconds.
Automatically record bookmarks of raytraced view
The raytracing editor offers simple and clever interface for visualizing and reloading raytraced views.
As soon as a raytracing computation starts for an image, Patchwork3D automatically records the camera position and saves it as a bookmark.
This bookmark can be quickly reloaded in the raytracing editor to modify the camera position and instantly display the raytraced image previously calculated.
Configure the raytraced renderings to meet your objectives
Get the maximum benefit from the raytracing engine by defining the rendering performance and resolution.
The raytracing editor gives you access to many parameters. These parameters can be used to optimizing the computing time according to the necessary level of detail in the final rendered images.
